Bike problems

Ok here is the problem: While running bike up after some changes, something is wrong.

Here is what I did: Installed new intake manifolds from TC Brothers. They are replacing my rubber stock ones since there was no longer air box support for them. I did not do anything to carbs. It also moved the carbs back from engine like 1/2 inch futher.

Here is what the bike did: Reved up to an overspeed type condition with choke on. Then with only one side choked it was alot of back fire and flames coming from tail pipes. I shut her down just incase there is a bigger problem. I am open to all ideas of what might be going on.

Big B's 37th annual boozeathon.

Well here is what started it all, the need for a new rear tire.

Well here is the new lowering kit thanks to Bob's bagger. I used his as a template.

The project started with a simple replacement of my rear tire thanks to my 37th annual burnout which Tommy needs to post on the blog.

My bike felt if it were a true Mexican in this picture (chopped chort)

First remove the bag.

2nd remove the lower shock bolt.

3rd step loctite your bolts.

4th install big b's custom 2 inch drop kit.

5th install the shock bolt.

6th install washer and spacers along with loctite and the nylon nut.

7th re-install the exhaust.

8th re-install the bag.

Econoline Fiasco

Well, Some of you know I was positioning myself for a new 66 econoline at the end of the month. I had discussed and agree two seperate times that we had a deal for the end of Feb. I had the money set aside and hands shaken. Im not sure about "shaken" maybe its shook. Anyway, I was looking at trucks this morning and see the said truck for sale on there...1800.00. So, I realize Im the fall back guy and that my deal is a joke to this guy. We had a deal for like 900.00

So, nope, im moving on to other trucks. So there is a 65 chevy for a the same or a 62 nova sedan as well. I like the car but the truck is what I need. So I think im going to get hold of this kid on the quick. It needs a carb or the carb rebuilt. Well, who knows maybe I will have a Porter's work truck.

Oh yeah and If you shake a mans hand, thats a contract so be a man and follow through.

Sweet Cafe!

So this guy came to my house yesterday and bought my '72 Yamaha TX 750. He likes to build cafe style and this is one of them. Honda CB 350 Four. Couldn't get a better pic because of the trailer, but trust me it was nice all the way around. It is for sale, but he is into it too much and wants $3500.

First Ride

My plan was to drive up to see Bob today and work on some shelving for the barber shop. Were trying to move the tool boxes we use to store things in at the stations out of the way. So we are fabing up three shevling units to replace the boxes, they will be mounted on the wall.

Anyway, Chris had called me up round 1230 and asked if I was still going up and suggested that we take the bikes up. So as I was thinking if this was the best idea for me since deer, and sand are plenty around my house. Plus I was only 90% sure my ride was ready. I got excited, told him I needed to do a run through and I would call him right back. Everything looked good and I took her around the block just to check since I have new tires, chain, breaks that need testing. All clear.

Head over to chris's house and we ride up. It was great. My clutch pull is killing my hand and I need to figure that out. Also Tom was tasked with reminding me that my tire was rubbing my break line up front. He failed big time and I only remembered while sweatin to the oldies on the olipticle at the gym with the juice heads. So I better check that.

Then Jeremy showed up and I realized I was going to offer him a ride up today, in my car. Sorry dude I think I got side tracked with the ride offer.

All said, first ride was great. Had fun and look foward to a long ride season for our crew.

Kick ASS!

Hey I want to give a big shout out to Jim and Bob. Thanks to both of you. These guys came through big time for me this weekend. I needed a custom back and whole headrest made for my 1966 barber chair. Thanks to their efforts I won't loose any money on face shaves this week. They had me up and running within 24 hours of being brought into my nightmare. Thank you from the bottom of my souless heart.
