Blaine.

For sale to my Blacktop Brethren

I was able to upgrade my drill press. So I now offer my old drill to Terror Brothers for the price of 160.00. I will put it on Craigslist for 200 this weekend if no takers.

Building girder

Did some more work on the girder front end for Machine Jim's bike today. This was about the start of the day. By days end we (mostly he) had both rear legs bent and shortened to the length needed. Have to cope the front rails and weld in place. Also have to bend the top of front rail to intersect just below the top clamp. Slow going but progress just the same.

Two Tones Friday Feasco

First Photo Tommy sporting a small girls shirt to prove he could fit it.
Second photo Al and Bryce mugging for the camera.
Third photo Most of who was there last night. Missing 4 members and several wives. Some regulars and other friends. The night turned into quite the mind bending experience a little later.

last night...

is sort of a blur right now, but i distinctly remember being kissed by Abe, and i feel dirty about the for some reason. Why was everyone calling him "yellow" Abe? i dont get it.

those emp's know how to build a damn fine cage. this thing up close looked like someone shook a rod and custom magazine from 1962 and it magically fell out. i was honored that they asked me to shoot it. if anyone would like their shot, let me know, i would love to pad my portfolio.

Well fellas, here is the bike that I'm modeling mine after, she is just plain sexy. Got quite a few of the parts needed put still need quite a few more.

Bikes and chicks

Makes me miss my Moto Guzzi. Not really, makes me miss strip joints. Want to bite Italian? The site these came from is a Guzzi shop and a book with all the models is available, so you can see the bikes of course.

59 Chevs

Would like to finish other projects in shop and get to building my 59 Chev. Gonna be so fine pass Fords all the time. And Two Tone can flip me shit but ask him about the truck project he has, HMMM, seems like it is a Chevy.

Brats for you............Brats.

Stole these off the net from various sites. Google images bratstyle and you get a boatload. The XS Yamaha and Sportster seem to be very popular brat platforms.

Home Sweet Home

Well it sure felt great to be back at The Swamp! It seems The rest of you YAHOO's felt the same way. Nearly had the whole crew there, and we dearly missed those who couldn't stand to be away from their Mommy's long enough to come have a couple o' cold ones. And yes Ricky, we even enjoyed your company. Above is a pic of Abe schoolin anyone who would listen to his banter about wiring (mr. knowitall). Oddly enough, some of us seem to be interested? Could you imagine what those Granola crunchers at the Viking would have thought about havin a rigid Triumph frame sittin in the middle of one of the tables there? How dirty! Fuck those guys! Anyways, it's great to be back at The Swamp. Plannin to meet at Weise's place for a burg before headin to The Swamp next week. Weise's is at the corner of Astor & Jackson behind Camp Chevrobla, chevrobee, Chevroblaaa. I'm sorry, i can never seem to get that name right. Bob and I will be there at about 5:30 for any of you who would like to join us. Later!

A picture to get your attention. Talk of moving back to the Swamp, the viking has been interesting. Entertaining, decent food, but, busy, and expensive. The beer at the Viking cost twice as much as the swamp. Weigh in so we know where we are going. And for the picture, I'm planning on putting this bike in the show.

Tommy Two Tone's fisrt street bike

Well here we go, this was my first street bike. A 1980 Suzuki GS550. I would like to say thanks to my good friend Kory for the inspiration. Would also like to thank Big B & Al for their help and opinions.
Here is the bike stripped down, B had just welded the rigid bars in. As you can see we left the swing arm. Wish we would have atleast extended the swing arm for a little more seat room. after seat & fender fab it's off to the paint shop.

Self explanatory

Now we are back at Rats Ass Speed Chop for the final put together. Looked bad ass all black, eh?

And here it was all put together. Had my dear friend Barry Brent do the numbers & stripes. Had about $10 into the seat, about $60 into the home built forward controls. Took about 6 inches out of the center of the front fender, welded it back together & painted it. Added a $25 trailer fender to the rear. An $8 tail light on a home made license plate bracket. Cut the pipes down & did the ol' heat wrap thing. I'm not one for any kind of mag wheel, but these star wheels were pretty cool once they were painted black and put a red pinstripe around them. White walls were painted on. The bars were pretty lame/stock looking. Was into this bike about $1000 including the purchase price of the bike. Sold it for $2500.

The End

Deep Thoughts, by Kory Kissell

Body work and Paint

Kissell getting the Brat frame ready for paint.
Recycled this killer old ribbed fender. Little bit of plug welding, little bit of body filler, then off to the shop for primer, color & clear. Can't wait to create some color. To be continued........
