This is the rear fender set up for my latest XS650 build. Yes that is an original spare tire ring off of an old antique vehicle, home made struts with wing nuts, Old metal housing tail light off of something I found along the way some where & the tail light bracket is a radiator support bracket of my boys 1949 chev p/u.
This is my latest creation for a fellow Terror. Rear fender & helmet match the tank. Sure hope he likes the final result.
And this is the grille that I will be using on my 1929 Dodge DeSoto. Near as I can tell, the grille is off of Farmall tractor from the 50's. Ain't it a thing of beauty?

Stuff this Saturday
Cool tune up parts cabinet that will now be the Medicine cabinet in the bathroom.
Took the lock out and put a 1930's bakelite knob off a X-ray machine on the door. Wife thinks it is killer.
Also scored this nice can for garbage in the shop. Love the graphics painted on. So much has been lost in past years for companys to save a dollar. Designers, painters, and quality control. Just so the CEO could pull a major profit and increase his bonus from 1 million to 1.25. Overpaid greedy fucks.
Still plugging on what I call the Mud Dauber. Little fab done Saturday.
Tommy, his son and Mad Matt showed up. Helped get the engine in and supplied some input. They are all full of it. But it is helpful. Thanks guys.

Vegas
How do you like my bodyguard? When in Vegas go rent a machine gun. Damn Fun.
We did not make it to the cycle auctions, bummer deluxe. But we did see this SHIT. The little chopper would be much cooler taken apart and all the stuff used on better looking bikes. The other thing was a work of .............art? I can appreciate the effort to build it, but, just because you can does not mean you should.
Bad ass architecture, a restaurant inside a very high end mall. It was truly art. The stores in this mall were where the stars come to shop.............................because the prices were on the moon. Get it? Stars? Shop? Moon? No! You're a dork! Not me!

Misc.
Girder for Shovel Chopper dis assembled for cleanup and Shorten. Took 3+ inches out of the length. Looks safe to run. Will go on the single loop frame with the cone Shovel engine.
The David Bird hardtail welded on the XS frame. Picked up this basket from Noel's buddy Tater. Be a nice little street eater for low dollars. Everyone knows I need more projects.
The 59 Chev, short step is a runner. Switched out the Holley for an Eldebrock. Kept fouling plugs with the Big H. Looked better under the scoop than the Elde, but, the Elde will run better.
I am off to warmer places for a bit. Be back soon with what I hope is good pictures.
